The Gallery Cafe is a unique vegetarian and vegan cafe situated near the Museum of Childhood and Museum Gardens in Bethnal Green. The cafe provides wonderful value for money with delicious food and the best coffee in the area. Our interior provides an airy environment with windows looking out onto a beautiful English garden, which is open to patrons on the weekend. There is also a sunny terrace for sitting outside in the summer and the whole cafe provides a wonderful environment to meet and hang out with friends, or work (we have free WIFI) in a friendly community environment.
We are also an events venue with a weekly programme of low-cost and free events, including gigs, spoken words, poetry readings, free film screenings, and one-off festivals. We also take part in Time Out's First Thursdays and our walls feature a new art exhibit each month.
In addition to our regular menu, we also offer daily specials and weekly theme nights, including Diner Tuesday and Chip Shop Thursday.
The Gallery is part of St. Maragaret's House, a unique charity that provides working space, support and opportunities to community organisations and other charities in the vibrant and multicultural borough of Tower Hamlets in East London.
