The Lehr Theatre is based at The Glasshouse; a pioneering project promoting culture, arts and special needs education within the context of social regeneration inspired by the ideas of John Ruskin, William Morris and Rudolf Steiner. The Glasshouse is part of the Ruskin Mill Educational Trust. The Ruskin Glass Centre is also based on the Glasshouse site hosting workshops in glass blowing, glass cutting, glass repairs, photography and stone carving. Workshops are open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday with free admission.
The Glasshouse College also includes workshops in jewellery, mask making, pottery and weaving, and can be visited during term time with prior arrangement. Free guided tours for groups are available when booked in advance. Public workshops are available in eurythmy and anthroposophy, weaving and wool craft and hand blown designer glass. The Coffee Shop is open for refreshments at each event serving light refreshments. The Coffee Shop is also open to the public during the day between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday and serves a vegetarian organic lunch between1pm and 2pm.
The Glasshouse Organic Shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am - 4pm selling a wide range of organic wholefoods, fruit and vegetables.
A season ticket is available for entry to all events (excluding workshops) priced £45.
Concessions are valid for students, underwaged and OAP's.
