On Sunday 19th June the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is pitching up just off Brick Lane, returning for its most anticipated and creative event yet. Now in its seventh successful year, the country's best boot fair has made a real name for itself with art-loving Londoners.

Curated by Ashton and Hayward and sponsored by Vauxhall Motors, the 2011 East London event will this year be packed full of cool art and fabulous entertainment with more artists than ever before. Top named talents include Marcus Harvey, Chantal Joffe, Gavin Turk, Sir Peter Blake, Bob and Roberta Smith, Oliver Guy Watkins, Jessica Voorsanger, Pure Evil, Pete Fowler, Jessica Albarn, Guts for Garters and style icon Pam Hogg, who will all be selling works of art from their own car boots.

Continuing Vauxhall Motors long-standing support of fresh creative talent, various Vauxhall vehicles have been commissioned by Catlin Art Prize curator Justin Hammond, established art magazine; Turps Banana and Penguin Classics.

Julia Royse, independent curator and director of POSTED - a project using art to celebrate 'Post' and the dying art of letter writing - will be collaborating with emerging artist duo 'The Girls' to transform a Vauxhall postal van into a shrine to our postal heritage. Visit the 'museum' and win amazing art prizes playing 'pass the parcel' or just be inspired to put pen to paper on beautiful stationery by artists including Tracey Emin.

Turps Banana, Marcus Harvey's innovative and highly collectible painting magazine, will be presenting a just-for-the-day print portfolio at an incredible bargain price with works by leading artists such as Chantal Joffe, Ryan Mosely and Marcus Harvey himself.

Come down on the day and join the editors of Five Dials magazine and Penguin Classics as they make their next edition from scratch, live from the back of a Vauxhall. Using little more than an old photocopier, a crate of blank-covered 'My Penguin' Classics and the skill and ingenuity of anyone passing by, the next edition will be created. Any books decorated by some of the more famous artists in attendance will be auctioned for charity.

Browsing for art bargains is not the only attraction of the day, with delicious food and drink courtesy of Ox-heart buns, St John's Bread and Wine and the Southampton Arms, along with entertainment from The Bethnal Green Working Men's Club and lots of art that you can get stuck into and do yourself.

Full line-up will be announced in mid April at www.artcarbootfair.com
